Ashley Harris

Ashley was born in Warrnambool in 1965. He is an active member of the 3WAY-FM community, hosting ‘The Lost Ones’ on Mondays from 8am to 10am and on Thursdays from 11am to midday. This is his story.

“I love music and I enjoy playing CDs. Occasionally, I operate a disco set-up for local organisations. I have a good memory for details about pop music, show tunes and related topics. I am particularly interested in one hit wonders and 1980’s hits. Before my involvement at the radio station, I worked at Warrnambool Woollen Mills, Fletcher Jones and Lyndoch. Then I looked after my mum as a carer until she died.

As well as volunteering at 3WAY, I work with blind people and young people around Warrnambool. I help at my church, Christ Church, and I enjoy talking with people. I have built good relationships with lots of people in local shops and in the general community. I support the Warrnambool Art Gallery and the public Library. I really love working in the office and music library at 3WAY, cataloguing CDs and organising their storage. To relax, especially at weekends, I enjoy champagne and the odd white wine or cocktail.”
